For those who said that ‘Fem Thor is a cancer’, congratulations, you were apparently right.  

The big mystery about Whor’s identity has been a huge drag on the series’ narrative.  For months, they couldn’t really do any sort of proper character building, that might help readership actually give a shit about this new Thor, for fear of giving away the secret.  The pay off needed to be something amazing to justify such a build-up.  But after nearly year worth of issues, Whor’s secret identity has finally been revealed and it’s as anticlimax as expected. She’s Thor’s occasional girlfriend, Jane Foster, pretty much the most obvious fucking choice possible since she has been a major character in both Thor movies. 

Oh and just for an extra dramatic twist, she’s even dying of cancer, because lord knows, a series about Ancient Alien Viking Gods who shoot lighting, fuck horses, and travel to other worlds via a magic rainbow is a great setting to deal with the sensitive, somber matter of cancer.

I can’t wait to hear the contrived reason they’ll write for why she can’t just eat a fucking magic asgardian apple or something and instantly be all better.

This is why I write female characters no different from male characters in terms of personalities. Because this bullshit gets written. -_-
